Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Therapist for Adults, Teens, & Families

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy for adults navigating trauma, relational challenges, depression, anxiety, and the lasting impacts of domestic violence and sexual assault.

As a Chicana therapist and daughter of immigrants, I approach this work with deep respect for the cultural, historical, and intergenerational experiences that shape who we are. My own story informs the way I connect—with warmth, curiosity, and a genuine belief in each person’s capacity to heal and grow.

I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and draw from trauma-informed, somatic, and relational frameworks to support holistic healing. I strive to create a space that feels grounded, compassionate, and collaborative—a place where you can be seen and supported without judgment.

For me, therapy is both a personal and collective process—an opportunity to reconnect with your inner strength, reclaim your voice, and move toward a deeper sense of agency and wholeness.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Lead Therapist & Administrative Supervisor

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. I am a member of the trans and queer community, and I am especially mindful of how important it is to feel seen, respected, and safe in therapy—particularly if you’ve felt misunderstood or harmed in past spaces. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in self-compassion.

I believe that healing is possible with the right support, and that you are the expert in your own life. My role as a therapist is to offer a safe, compassionate, and affirming space where you can show up as your full self, explore what’s been weighing on you, and reconnect with your strengths. Together, we move at a pace that feels supportive as we work toward growth, healing, and greater self-understanding.

In my work with clients, I draw from a range of evidence-based and body-aware modalities, including EMDR, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic and relational practices, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). These approaches allow us to gently untangle the impacts of trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, and disconnection, while supporting resilience and deeper insight.

I have a special interest in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, trauma and abuse survivors, and those navigating anxiety, high stress, or relational challenges. I work with both individuals and couples, and I value inclusion, diversity, and social justice in all aspects of my practice. My goal is to create therapy that feels affirming, accessible, and tailored to you.

Professional Counselor Associate

Therapist & Specialist with Young Adults, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC folks.

I believe that at various points in our lives, we all encounter challenges that can deeply impact our mental health, sense of
stability, and overall well-being. Reaching out for support during these moments takes courage, and my goal as a counselor is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely supported as you navigate your experiences.
My approach to counseling is grounded in the belief that meaningful growth and healing occur through a strong therapeutic relationship, supported by evidence-based interventions such as person-centered and
cognitive behavioral therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to better understand patterns, build insight, and develop practical tools that align with their values and goals.

No matter where you are in your journey, I believe everyone has the capacity to show up for themselves in ways that foster restoration, balance, and resilience. My role is to meet you with empathy, curiosity, and compassion while helping you build skills that support sustainable growth and long-term well-being. I have a particular interest in working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, as well as individuals navigating trauma, life
transitions, depression, anxiety, and neurodivergence. Taking the first step toward personal health and wellness can feel daunting, but you do not have to do it alone. I invite you to lean in with curiosity, knowing that you will be met with care, respect, and support every step of the way.

Clinical Social Work Associate

Therapist for Youth, Teens, & Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

I’m passionate about working with adolescents, teens, and women in all stages of life, with a special focus on perinatal support. I have experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, maternal loss, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), ADHD, chronic pain, and life transitions. I am currently enrolled in EMDR training to further expand my trauma-informed care.

I believe there’s so much more to a person than the problems they’re facing. My approach draws from a wide range of evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based strategies. I also enjoy incorporating art and meditation into sessions when clients find that helpful.

As a social worker, I believe you know yourself best. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to set direction and goals that align with your values and needs. Feelings of sadness, anger, and anxiety can be overwhelming—we’ll explore these emotions and find ways to help you cope and grow through them.

Our work will also include acknowledging and addressing the systems of oppression that influence your experience, as healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s important to find a path that truly resonates with you.

Let’s connect to see if we might be a good fit. Your feelings and experiences matter, and my role is to help you navigate this journey with warmth, curiosity, and compassion.

My clients are often seeking connection, understanding, and a safe place to be seen without judgment. I work with teens, adults, families, active duty service members, veterans, and their loved ones, as well as immigrants and refugees. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, relationship struggles, parenting challenges, chronic loneliness, or a sense of disconnection, therapy can be a space to slow down, feel supported, and begin to heal.

My approach is grounded in empathy and collaboration. I draw on person-centered and strengths-based traditions, integrating art therapy and meaning-making practices to explore the roots of pain and reconnect with what matters most to you. Together, we can honor your resilience while creating new pathways toward healing and growth.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but it’s also a courageous first step. Wherever you are on your journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity.

Therapist for Young Adults, Couples, Military Service Members & Veterans

Together, we can create space for meaningful change, healing, and growth. Using EMDR, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed, holistic practices, I work with clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions to build coping strategies and reconnect with their strengths.

I’m a therapist and Clinical Social Worker Associate with experience supporting diverse individuals and families in the U.S. and internationally, including youth and communities impacted by trauma and displacement. I also specialize in working with survivors of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault. I bridge clinical expertise with body-centered, holistic healing, always with a commitment to inclusive, accessible, and stigma-reducing care.

Having worked in trauma-informed mental health and refugee support across the Middle East and North Africa region, I bring a culturally responsive and survivor-centered lens to therapy. Whether through traditional psychotherapy or integrative practices that include mindfulness and movement, my goal is to help clients create new pathways for healing and growth.

Above all, I strive to offer a safe, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to heal from trauma and move forward with confidence.

Clinical Social Work Associate

EMDR and Trauma Therapist

We’re all wired for connection, understanding, and belonging. Yet somewhere along the way, many of us learn to believe we’re not good enough. These messages—often reinforced by sexism, homophobia, ableism, racism, and capitalism—can shape how we see ourselves and how we move through the world. In therapy, we’ll work together to untangle those stories and reconnect you to your inherent worth, power, and joy.

I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ adults and individuals living with chronic illness, pain, or disabilities, ages 18 to 108. My approach is warm, curious, and deeply collaborative. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I’ll always honor your voice and your choices in our work together.

I’ve completed advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and the FLASH Technique, which help people heal from trauma in gentle, effective ways. My work is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in authenticity and compassion. I aim to create a space where you can feel fully seen, deeply accepted, and safe to explore the parts of yourself that are ready to heal.

If you’re longing to reconnect with your authentic self and to know—deep down—that you are worthy of taking up space just as you are, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Trauma Therapist and Therapist for Adults, Military Service Members & Veterans

Catherine offers a holistic, person-centered approach to therapy that is grounded in mindfulness and a focus on the present moment. She believes that our mental health is deeply shaped not only by our inner experiences, but also by our relationships, environments, and the larger systems we exist within. Together, we’ll explore these layers with curiosity and compassion, helping you better understand yourself in context - not in isolation.

Her work is informed by both professional and personal experience. With a background that includes immigration, adoption, and foster care, Catherine brings a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed lens to our work. She understands how deeply our heritage and lived experiences shape who we become and how we want to be seen and understood.

Catherine has experience supporting individuals through life transitions, trauma, grief, crisis care, and gender-related exploration. Whether you’re navigating a specific challenge or feeling stuck in

patterns that no longer serve you, she aims to meet you where you are and to create a safe, collaborative space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. Catherine takes a progressive, strengths-based approach and believes therapy should empower you to become more autonomous and

aligned with your authentic self. Rather than positioning herself as the “expert,” she sees our work as a partnership, one where we move at your pace and honor what feels most important to you.

Perinatal Specialist, Doula, Clinical Social Work Associate

Sarah Wynne, CSWA is a Clinical Social Work Associate specializing in trauma-focused therapy for women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, grief, and major life transitions. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and brings a compassionate, relational approach to supporting individuals through experiences such as birth trauma, pregnancy and infant loss, postpartum adjustment, anxiety, and parenting-related stress.

Sarah’s work is deeply informed by her background in birth and bereavement support. She began her professional work in 2015 as a certified birth and bereavement doula, walking alongside women and families through pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and loss. Over time, her practice evolved into providing therapeutic support for individuals processing the emotional and traumatic experiences that can accompany fertility challenges, pregnancy complications, traumatic birth experiences, miscarriage, stillbirth, postpartum mental health concerns, and the transition into motherhood.

In addition to her perinatal specialization, Sarah is trauma-certified and works with adults who have experienced trauma or other distressing life events. As a veteran spouse, she is especially passionate about supporting women veterans and military-connected families through Alignment Collective’s VA Community Care network.

Originally from Vancouver, Washington, Sarah now lives in Yamhill County, Oregon, with her husband, two sons, and dog, Margo. Having lived throughout the U.S., including California, Connecticut, and North Carolina, she values the grounding and restorative role of nature and enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with her family.

About Us:
Alignment Collective is a small nonprofit group practice dedicated to expanding access to high-quality mental health care. Our mission is to provide compassionate, trauma-informed services to all individuals—eventually ensuring that anyone who walks through our doors can receive care, regardless of their ability to pay.

About the Role:
We’re seeking a therapist who values collaboration, authenticity, and community impact. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys working as part of a supportive team and is committed to ongoing professional growth.

Clinicians must be flexible in their scheduling to meet client needs—some evening or weekend availability may be required. This role includes in-person sessions at our Portland office, with Telehealth options available to help increase access to care for clients who might otherwise face barriers to treatment.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds an active Oregon license as an LCSW or LPC (CSWAs or LPC Associates may also be considered)
  • Is passionate about trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally responsive care
  • Values continuing education and lifelong learning
  • Thrives both independently and within a collaborative environment
  • Shares our commitment to creating a safe, affirming space for all people, regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or cultural background

As the founder and executive director of The Alignment Collective, I believe healing happens best in community. My path to this work has been shaped by both personal experiences and over 15 years in mental health care, spanning crisis response, hospital social work, VA service, and clinical supervision. I created The Alignment Collective to expand access to trauma-informed, integrative care for veterans, families, and perinatal populations—communities too often left behind by traditional systems.

In my therapy practice, I specialize in EMDR for trauma recovery, EFT for couples, and postpartum/perinatal mental health. I support adults, teens, couples, veterans, active-duty service members, and families with a direct yet compassionate approach that fosters clarity, resilience, and connection.
